Budget Committee

The Budget Committee fulfills an important need for citizen involvement in the City's budget process.  The Budget Committee meets each spring to review the budget proposed by the City Manager.  The committee consists of  five City Councilors and five citizens who live within the City limits.

  • The Budget Committee meets 2-3 times a year, generally in April and May.
  • The Committee has five citizen members with terms of three years, appointed by the Mayor with consent of the Council.
  • All Board members must reside within the city limits
  • All positions are volunteer and unpaid
