Short-Term Rental Program Evaluation Background
The City Council and Planning Commission conducted a series of workshops to evaluate the current short-term rental program. The following is a summary of each of the workshops with links to the records of each meeting.
- Presentation and discussion of the regulatory framework and impact of the program. Staff provided an overview of the current regulations and impacts of the program, including permitting, code enforcement complaints, and revenue generation.
- Presentation and discussion of additional data and analysis of the program. Staff provided Deschutes County Sheriff call data, results of owner/operator survey, and analysis of increasing concentration limits form 250 feet to 500 feet.
- Presentation and discussion of potential code amendments with City Council direction.
